How does NAKD block blue light?

NAKD Eyewear uses advanced lenses that filter harmful blue light emitted by screens and artificial lighting. This reduces digital eye strain, enhances visual comfort, and protects your long-term eye health without distorting natural colors.

What are negative ions, and how do they work for eye health?

Negative ions are molecules naturally found in environments like forests and waterfalls. They work by neutralizing the positive ions emitted by screens and artificial environments, which can lead to eye fatigue and discomfort. NAKD Eyewear frames emit negative ions, which may help reduce eye strain, improve blood flow around the eyes, and enhance overall eye comfort, especially during prolonged screen exposure.

What is your return policy?

We offer a 30-day return policy for unused, undamaged items in their original packaging. If you’re not completely satisfied, simply contact our support team, and we’ll guide you through the return process. Please note that shipping fees for returns are not refundable.

What range of blue light do NAKD Day lenses block?

NAKD Day lenses target the most harmful high-energy visible (HEV) blue light range: ~400–455nm.

This is the short-wavelength blue light most strongly associated with:

Digital eye strain

Retinal stress

Circadian disruption (when overexposed late in the day)

Do NAKD glasses block all blue light?

No — and that’s intentional.

Blue light between ~460–500nm plays an important physiological role in:

Mood regulation

Alertness and focus

Natural colour perception

Healthy daytime circadian signalling

Blocking all blue light during the day can distort colour and interfere with normal visual and hormonal function. That’s why NAKD Day lenses:

Block the sharp, high-energy spike emitted from screens

Maintain natural colour clarity

Avoid the heavy yellow tint common in many blue light glasses

They are designed for long hours indoors and in front of screens — without compromising how you see the world.

How long can I wear NAKD glasses?

We recommend wearing NAKD glasses anytime you’re indoors, especially when exposed to artificial lighting, screens, air-conditioning, or indoor air. If you’re outdoors, it’s best to avoid wearing any glasses to allow your eyes to receive natural light.

What is the shipping and processing time for NAKD glasses?

Due to high demand, our current processing time is 2-3 business days. Once shipped, standard delivery takes up to 7 business days, depending on your location. You’ll receive a tracking number as soon as your order is dispatched.

Are NAKD glasses suitable for aging eyes?

Yes! NAKD glasses are ideal for all ages, including aging eyes. They help reduce eye strain and fatigue caused by artificial lighting and screens, making them a great addition for anyone seeking visual comfort and protection.

What are NAKD frames made from?

NAKD frames are constructed from a durable, lightweight polycarbonate frame material that is mineral-infused during manufacturing. The frame matrix is infused with:

Organic Germanium

Black Tourmaline stone

72 trace minerals

Nano silver

These natural mineral elements are integrated directly into the frame material — not coated on the surface — ensuring durability and consistent performance.

Do the frames emit negative ions?

Yes. When tested in close proximity to the frame (at eye level, where the glasses are worn), NAKD frames measured approximately: ~1,400–1,500 negative ions per cm³

Negative ions are measured using an air ion counter, which detects ion concentration in the surrounding air under controlled conditions at a defined distance.

The mineral infusion within the frame matrix supports the emission of these negative ions.
